Guess is a widely popular clothing line not only in its home country of United States but also all over the world. The company uses its distinctive question mark as an emblem, placed within a trademark inverted triangle.

This name and brand has been bolstered over the years by a characteristic sexualized advertising campaign. Featuring artful color and black and white photographs, the campaign has included such celebrity models as Drew Barrymore, Claudia Schiffer, Paris Hilton, and Anna Nicole Smith. Consistently employing tasteful yet edgy photography, the brand has made for itself a unique advertising and marketing sensibility.

The company was founded by the four Marciano brothers: Maurice, Georges, Armand, and Paul. Born in Algeria, the Marcianos were commonly believed to have grown up in southern France, getting influenced mostly by the region's style and culture. In 1977 the brothers moved to California, and it was in 1981 when the Guess Company was founded. (The brothers' capital was actually provided by the Nakash family, who owns the Jordache denim empire.)

Initially, many stores were hesitant to carry the company's denim jeans (which were characteristically "stone washed"). However in December of the same year, Georges Marciano was able to convince Bloomingdale's to carry twenty-four pairs, which quickly sold out. Over the years, Guess has weathered some rough spots to attain its current standing in the market as one of the top players in the fashion industry. Known for quality, style, and attitude, the company continues to produce apparel that is highly valued and in demand worldwide.

The company has clothing lines both for adults and for kids, known as Baby Guess. In 2004, the brand also expanded to include a more upscale female clothing and accessories line, known simply as Marciano. Marciano offers a higher-priced selection of fashionable items for women. In 2005, the company also began producing scents and perfumes of their own, and introduced the new perfumes Guess Gold for women and Guess Suede for Men in 2006.

The label is also known for its stylish accessories with some of the most distinctive being their high-end watches. Belts, wallets, and the like are also popular items that are on offer. This is one of the more popular brands and major players in the modern fashion industry.

Women's soccer is unlike the usual association football that's played by men. The soccer for women only transpired in recent years. Around the world, there are so few professional leagues about soccer for women that appeared in the course of time. Only amateur games and tournaments for women transpired, not until the first professional women's team showed up. They are the initial modern professional soccer team that composed of women; the United States Women's Team became the pioneers of professional soccer around the world. They played their very first match during the year 1985. It was held in Japan where there was a sponsored league named the L League that hosted friendly games.

Though the women's football is not as popular as compared to men's football, there is a noticeable growing following for the former. Interest in soccer has been increasing around the world including the United States, which was formerly disinclined to the sport. In fact, the Women's United Soccer Association is formed in the United States during early 2000s. It became women's very first all-professional league in football. Today, there have been football leagues for women around the world like the W-League, Superliga Femenina in Spain, Women's National Soccer League in Australia, Toppserien in Norway, Women's Bundesliga in Germany and Austria. WUSA organizers have mentioned their intention to prelaunch as the Women's Professional Soccer in 2009.

When speaking of the Olympics, women's teams are free enough due to the abandonment of the restrictions. The Olympics would turn out to be a FIFA World Cup as to the application of the rules to women's soccer.

Robert Bob Mackie is an American designer whose clothing is worn by many of todays top celebrities as well as some of Hollywoods biggest names of the past, including Madonna, Raquel Welch, Barbara Streisand, Joan Collins, Diahann Carroll, Lucille Ball, Judy Garland, Diana Ross, Oprah Winfrey, Tina Turner, Bette Midler, Sharon Stone, Ann-Margaret, Brooke Shields, and many more. Bob Mackie got his start by creating the many memorable costumes on The Carol Burnett Show as well as for actress and singer Cher. When working with The Carol Burnett Show, some of his designs had more of a humorous appeal than a fashion appeal. One famous dress, called the curtain dress, incorporated a curtain rod that ran across the shoulders. Mackie enjoyed an eleven-year career with The Carol Burnett Show as he designed a number of costumes and wigs. Together, he and Burnett created numerous alter-egos that Burnett portrayed on her show. In many cases, the costume helped define the character, which then helped to create the script, rather than the other way around. As such, he is one of few designers that has mixed his craft with theater.

Mackie also designed a show-stopping outfit for Cher that she wore to the 1986 Academy Awards, which incorporated a loincloth, a black chain link top, and a rather large headdress. Cher is commonly seen wearing Mackies designs - so often, in fact, that most picture her in one of his outfits when thinking of the star. The outfits he has created for Cher and for other celebrities certainly do keep in line with one of Mackies most famous quotes of A woman who wears my clothes is not afraid to be noticed.

Known by many as the Rajah of rhinestones and as the Sultan of sequins, Mackie has also created a number of exclusive designs for some high-priced Barbie dolls. His imaginative and sparkling designs have earned him a number of awards, including seven Emmy Awards. He has also been nominated three times for an Academy Award for his work in fashion and design.

Of the essential elements it takes to start and grow a profitable business a concept, money, a plan, talent, and time only one is in limited supply. No matter how great the idea, how much money you have, how well you plan, or how talented you may be, you will never have more than 24 hours in any given day. Rich or poor, genius or dunce, it makes no difference.

A concept, an idea for a winning product or service? Well, if you dont have one of your own, there are sources from which you can legitimately acquire one.

Money? Whatever you need, if you can suitably justify that need, there are sources willing to lend it to you, or invest in you.

A sound business plan? If youre unable to develop one on your own, there are sources willing to help. For a fee, true, but theyre available.

As for talent, businesses large and small have for centuries hired whatever talent theyve needed. A CEO, CFO, perhaps a COO? Theyre available. Middle managers? Theyre available, too. People to do the actual work? Yes, occasionally even good ones if you look long and hard enough.

But time? There are only 24 hours in any day. OK, perhaps a few seconds more if you want to get technical. But your day is basically limited to 24 hours. Can you make time? Guys of my generation thought so. In fact, making time was something we enjoyed though it had little to do with business.

Can you save time? We often say we can. And we often try. But does that make it true? You might run an errand during your lunch hour rather than after work. Having done so, you tell yourself you saved a half hour. But did you? Is there actually a bank somewhere into which you can actually deposit and save those 30 minutes?

Its about time you asked yourself what your time is worth. To your business, to the people who depend on you, to yourself? Isnt it about time you made the most of your time? Whether its for family, for friends, for play, or for work, now is the best time to make the best use of your time.

Contrary to the popular expression, you dont want to spend your time merely doing things invest your time in accomplishing things, meaningful things. Put time to work for you. Do with it what you will, but do it wisely because at most you have only 24 hours in any day.

Nearly everyone who discusses their wardrobe with me, as an image consultant, seems to think their wardrobe is the worst possible. Do you have more than one wardrobe? Do you have wardrobes in different rooms? In fact, some people can't even remember all the places where they have clothes stored. Sometimes opening the wardrobe in the morning is just too much and the clothes are left lying around the bedroom from the day before and the day before that. Why be depressed when an organized wardrobe can be achieved and opening the wardrobe door in the morning can be such a joy and start the day off on a really positive note. Your wardrobe should only contain clothes that actually fit, a range of items that you can put together in different ways for each occasion you might need and also opening the wardrobe door should fill you with pleasure.

Here are some strategies to help you achieve your ideal wardrobe, but first of all you have to understand that there is no one perfect wardrobe. What you are aiming for is the right wardrobe for you, and so you need to know some facts about you and this is where you might appreciate the help of an image consultant.

Understanding these four key points about yourself will ensure that your ideal wardrobe is a step nearer.

1. Your lifestyle. What is the balance between your working and your non-working life and what range of occasions do you need items for?

2. Your style personality. What types/styles of clothes do you like to wear and what accessories do you need to complete the look. Think about jewellery, bags, shoes, belts, scarves etc.

3. Your colouring. What colours suit you and how should you wear these colours. Which colours should you avoid?

4. Your body shape. What are your personal shape characteristics now, at this moment in time and how can you make the most of these? Notice the now, you need to have clothes for your present body not the one you wish you had. Be realistic.

An image consultant can help you with all these aspects.

Once you have this important information about yourself on these four key points and understand the interplay between them making you unique, then you can look in your wardrobe, and all the other places where you store clothes! At this stage, you will probably find you are very keen to get started on your ideal wardrobe as you will have the knowledge to make sense of your clothes collection.

I suggest you remove everything from your wardrobe that does not work at the moment and work through each of these questions in turn for each item. When you get a yes answer the item goes back in the wardrobe. It might seem a bit long winded, but believe me it will be worth the time and care in the end.

1. Can the item be saved, for example by teaming with a better colour?

2. Does it need accessories to improve it? If so which ones? Make a list.

3. If it was bought as a suit, is it best split up so you wear the two parts separately and with different items? Check that each part is worth saving, quite often only one part is, if so be strong and only put this part back

4. Is the item from the wrong season, eg a winter coat and this wardrobe sort is happening in the summer?

If the answer is no to all these four questions, then decide who to donate the items to.
Now look in your new slimmed down wardrobe, re-arrange the items to make your choice each morning a pleasure. Make a list of those pieces that you need to search for so that you can maximize your current collection. Do check out the latest trends so that you can update your look.

Now armed with your colour wallet and the knowledge from your style consultation you are ready for a productive and enjoyable shopping trip. When you have assembled your additional garments and accessories opening your wardrobe will be a real joy each morning.
